Beatrix Potter Sampler SAL progress
Here's a progress pic. of my Beatrix Potter Sampler. I'm working on this as a SAL with other members of the For the Love of Stitching Yahoo group.
Roberta, one of the group members, is leading the SAL and is posting weekly assignments. I dithered about with several thread choices and wasn't happy with any of them. I finally saw a finished BP sampler done by Lori who posts to the Legacy board. I fell in love with the way hers looked so started mine in the same shade of Vikki Clayton silk - Dusty Rose. I think the fabric is 36ct Zweigart Antique White linen.
I'm a few weeks behind everyone else but hope I will be able to catch up.

Hi Margaret,
I've been looking forward to this photo. Your Beatrix Potter sampler is looking beautiful, and your stitching is just perfect. The right color choice for you makes all the difference in the feel of the stitching.
Enjoy,
Nancy
Your sampler looks gorgeous, Margaret. I'm so glad that you are stitching it with us. I love your thread choice very much.

Beautiful Margaret!!! You are not so far behind but I surely am as I only have two motifs complete and working on the third one. I wanted to show a photo on my blog this week with some other fun BP things but now I am a bit embarrassed. I love your choice and must say that Francoise will be drooling over this choice too. LOL!
Margaret,
Wow, your BP looks just gorgeous. Fabulous colour choice - finally! Well worth dithering about over. It's going to look just lovely when it's finished. You are making great progress.
Hugs, Angela
It's beautiful. I don't see how you can do this, it looks so difficult to get the stitches so perfectly in the cloth. I used to do counted cross stitch, mostly on aida cloth, sometimes hardanger cloth, but it was hard for my eyes to work on that small a count. I can't imagine working on this project of yours...It's so nice!
How lovely! Beautiful colour choice. Can't wait to see the final results. Happy stitching!
your BP samplar looks great! congratulations!
I just love your progress on this. I am new to the FTLOS group and don't get to post very often, but it has been so much fun watching everyone work on this gorgeous piece!
Hi Margaret
