Hi everyone,
First of all a big thank you for the kind words and welcome back. I really didn't expect anyone to leave a comment as it had been so long so it was a lovely suprise to hear from so many old friends.
So, as promised, this time there is some stitching content. In fact, it's all stitching content as now that I've found my stitching mojo again I can think of little else.
I have two finishes to share. First is a little pillow from a Shepherds Bush kit that friend Angela gifted me one time when she visited us in Spain. Angela doesn't have a blog but she does beautiful stitching and you can see her work in her Picturetrail album which is linked in the sidebar of this blog.
This is Flock of Pins by Shepherds Bush stitched on 32ct linen with the silk threads provided in the kit
I think it should be possible to click on any of the pictures to enlarge if you wish to
My next finish is Home of a Needleworker by Little House Needleworks. This had been on my want to stitch list forever and once I got going on it I stitched it in just under two weeks which is something of a record for me.
Fabric is 32ct cream evenweave using mostly the threads that were called for in the chart
I've been pulling out a lot of projects that were started a long time ago. I've managed to do some stitching on Sunflower Bell Pull by the Drawn Thread. I would like to frame this piece rather than finish as a bell pull so will omit the v shaped stitching at the very bottom of the chart
and finally a very ancient UFO that I pulled out while deep stash diving. I wouldn't like to say how long ago I started this and now I don't even know what design it was so I'm hoping that one of you might be able to tell me.
I'm pretty sure it is a design by the Prairie Schooler but I've been on their website and various Pinterest sites devoted to PS designs and I cannot see anything that resembles this. I would really like to be able to finish what I started but I don't have the chart and have a feeling that it must be one of the OOP ones.
So that is all I have for now. The aim with the blog this time around is to try to do little and often posts. Let's see how well I do at this.
As always thanks for visiting my blog. I am almost caught up with replies to those of you that left such nice comments last time.
Happy stitching!
Margaret

Margaret, I have to say, I am all for the little and often philosophy in everything especially your blog and, now let me think....hmmm, oh yes, cake...haha!! It's such a treat seeing a post from you especially as you are showing your SB pin pillow. It's such a pretty design and you have finished it perfectly, as always Seeing it brought back a rush of wonderful memories of my trip to Spain. We had such a fantastic time. Markets, huge juicy cherries, hot churros ( have I spelled that right) and fragrant coffee by the beach and of course your unforgettable coffee and walnut cake.
I absolutely adore your Home of A Needleworker. What a speedy finish. You really are back in gear. I love DT's Sunflower bell pull too and have that on my list.
I'm so glad you've asked about that PS mystery chart. Like you I've searched everywhere I can think of. I'm sure someone, will know. Xx
You have such lovely finishes. How very nice to get caught up with what you have been stitching.
How wonderful to have your stitching mojo back, Margaret :) I just love what you've shown us today and I look forward to seeing your DT Sunflower Sampler. I framed mine and stitched the pointy end because I really loved the sunflowers at the bottom. If you want to see how mine looked here is the link: http://stitchingdream.blogspot.com/2012/12/a-few-finishes-finally.html
I'm not familiar with that PS chart, but I'll take a look at my charts and see if it looks familiar :)
Enjoy your week!
You have done some lovely finishing and stitching. I would say that needleworker design finish is record! Nice to see what you have been up to.
Sorry I can't help with the mystery start. Coffee and walnut cake? Sounds interesting!
What lovely work you have been doing, and plan to do also.
I don't suppose the design would be one of the TIAG ones?

Good morning, I'm returning the following! How lovely that your stitching mojo has returned and all your old friends are still here as well as some new ones.
The Shepherd's Bush piece is lovely, I am quite a fan of their samplers too, having just completed Mulberry.
Looking forward to your progress on the mystery design.
Wonderful stitching and finishing. Sorry can't help with the PS.
Wonderful finishes and I love your Drawn Thread wip :)
Isn't it great when the stitching mojo is back and all you want to do is stitch? I have been feeling like that for quite a while now, and it's wonderful. Deep stash diving is always good and whatever you find there helps your mojo get even bigger :) So lovely to see that little sheep pillow so beautifully finished. And wow, the LHN piece stitched in under two weeks, that's not bad. Sunflower Sampler by DT looks gorgeous. It will be a lot of fun to continue stitching on it.
If I had come to read this post earlier I could have helped you with the design name and the designer as I stitched that piece as well many years ago. But by now you know that it's one of Just Nan's band sampler. And it's a sweet piece so you will enjoy stitching it.
Looking forward to seeing your next post
some lovely finishes, glad your bug has returned x
Very beautiful stitching! Big Hug, Mariuccia
