Finishes for May

Hi everyone,
I'm just back from a short visit to UK where it rained a lot. I enjoyed seeing my family and I did a bit of shopping but there was no time for stitching or sewing.
However, I always have a few things in reserve that have not previously been seen on the blog so at least there is still something I can show you.

This is The Fancy Brown Sewing Pouch by Stacy Nash

I really enjoyed stitching and sewing this and would like to make more in this style.
Stitched on 28ct linen using the recommended DMC threads.
Fabric used for finishing is Sturbridge Village Harvest by Judie Rothermel

Next is Leanne Beasley's Couch Companion
which I have made a couple of times before. I decided to use linen for the stitchery this time and I like the way it looks.

Here's a close up of the stitchery. As you can see I used buttons for some of the flower stems.
You should be able to click on any of the pictures for a better view if you wish.

Plenty of pockets and a pincushion inside

The fabrics used are Rouenneries by French General for Moda

Next up is Our Hearts Pin Cushion which is a kit by Shepherd's Bush. I loved stitching and finishing this and want to stitch it at least once more

It is almost as pretty on the back as it is on the front

Still with Shepherd's Bush here's another little pillow

and here is how it looks on the back

I stitched this pillow for my lovely friend Pat who has a May birthday.

It is one of Dany's designs and seemed just perfect for Pat as she loves Lily of the Valley.
I had the perfect piece of fabric in my stash to use on the back too

The wording says
A best friend is like a four leaf clover.
Hard to find and lucky to have.

I'm sure we all can relate to that.

One last thing is this little bunny which is another of Dany's designs.

This took very little time to stitch although the making up was a bit fiddly. This was something else I had stitched for Pat and I found it very hard to part with.
However, a few days after mailing it I received a bunny stitched for me by friend Angela :) I'll show a picture of that one next time.

So that's it for now. Thanks to everyone who visits my blog and welcome to new followers. It hardly seems a minute since I did a giveaway for 200 followers but it looks as though the numbers are creeping up to 300 so there will soon be another one.
I am way behind on my blog reading and commenting but hope to catch up with all of you soon.
Margaret

Margaret welcome back home :-) Gosh that trip came and went really quickly. Hope you had a lovely visit with the family.
I'm still in Cyprus but still stalking your blog as you see. Sorry England didn't treat you to some of it's better weather - we've had rain here too.
I love your gorgeous SN little pouch and the floery companion is beautiful. Your talents are endless. The May pincushion for Pat is exquisite. I love that pattern of Dany's and will stitch it too one day.
Love the bunny, hope my gift to you makes up for you having to part with it :-)

Everything you make is such a beauty. I do love the little sewing pouch, it has this pretty shape that I see on some of the primitive projects and that I think is so beautiful.
And that couch companion is just wonderful. You couldn't have found better fabrics than the French Rouenneries, they are fantastic.
